Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Euterpe Studio

What makes Euterpe special?

Most music production tools assume you already know what you're doing. Euterpe doesn't. It's built for the gap between "I have a musical idea" and "I know how to make it real." Every feature comes with explanations, every action comes with context, and the goal is always your finished track — not just efficiency.

I'm skeptical about AI in art — how does Euterpe protect my artistic integrity?

Euterpe is first and foremost an educational tool to assist human creativity and learning of the craft. Euterpe will offer suggestions and explain decisions based on your project context but will always defer to your vision and intent. Euterpe was developed because the founder knows from experience it's difficult to find reliable human partners, especially earlier in your artistic journey. This agent allows us to lower barriers to entry to the world of musical creation and help more people get to the "level" of producing music you can vibe to!

What is the difference between the assistant plans?

Currently in beta, only the Novice plan is active — designed for step-by-step guided production with approval-required actions. Pro and Studio tiers with greater autonomy and capabilities will launch at general availability.

How does pay-per-usage pricing work?

Your $10/month Novice plan covers platform access. AI model usage is billed separately based on the model you choose and how much you use it. We apply a 20% service markup on top of published provider API rates to cover infrastructure and orchestration. You can track real-time usage and costs directly in the app. During testing average API costs are around $5 for an 8-hour workday on Euterpe. Euterpe is engineered for token consumption efficiency, making music affordable.

Can I switch between assistant plans?

Yes — once additional tiers launch at general availability. When they do, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time, with changes reflected in your next billing cycle.

What DAWs does Euterpe Studio support in beta?

Beta support is currently limited to Ableton Live 12 and FL Studio 25. Broader DAW support is on the roadmap and will roll out as beta progresses.

What AI models does Euterpe Studio use?

Euterpe Studio routes to cloud AI models only — currently Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, and xAI Grok. The specific model versions available may change as beta progresses.

Do I need to provide my own API keys?

No. API access is included — Euterpe handles all model routing on your behalf. You never need to set up or manage keys yourself on the Novice plan.

Is it safe to give Euterpe control of my computer?

You approve every action before it happens — always. Euterpe can't do anything without your say-so. Think of it less like giving someone the keys and more like watching a knowledgeable friend navigate the settings while you stay in the driver's seat.

Does Euterpe record or store my screen and project data?

Euterpe captures screenshots only to operate your DAW — they are processed transiently and not retained or used for training. Your music, projects, and session activity stay yours. We do not sell or share your data.

Do you offer technical support during beta?

Yes — reach us via email or our Discord community. All beta users get direct access to the team. We actively use beta feedback to prioritize fixes and improvements.
